Street lamp is an important part of urban lighting, the traditional street lamp often uses high-pressure sodium lamp, the shortcomings of low light efficiency of high-pressure sodium lamp as a whole have caused a huge waste of energy, therefore, the development of new high-efficiency, energy-saving, long-life, high color rendering index, environmental protection of street lamp is of great significance to urban lighting energy saving.
Features of today's LED street lights:
The light source of high-power LED street lamp is low-voltage DC power supply, which is composed of GaN-based power blue LED and yellow phosphor, and the light emitting diode (Light Emitting Diode, abbreviated as LED) is a high-efficiency solid-state light source formed by semiconductor PN junction that can emit light with weak electrical energy, under a certain forward bias voltage and injection current. After the holes injected in the P region and the electrons injected into the N region diffuse to the active region, they emit photons through radiation recombination, which directly converts electrical energy into light energy.
As the light source of street lights, LED has many advantages compared with traditional street light sources.
1. The LED street lamp itself has the directivity of light, and there is no diffusion of light to ensure the light effect;
2. The LED street lamp has a unique secondary optical design, which irradiates the light of the LED street lamp to the area required for illumination, that is, the road surface, which further improves the lighting efficiency and achieves the purpose of energy saving;
3. The light source efficiency of LED has reached 100lm/W, and there is a lot of room for development, the theoretical ＆#118alue can reach 250lm/W. The luminous efficiency of high-pressure sodium lamp increases with the increase of power, therefore, the overall luminous effect LED street lamp is stronger than that of high-pressure sodium lamp;
4. The light color rendering of LED street lamps is higher than that of high-pressure sodium lamps, the color rendering index of high-pressure sodium lamps is only about 23, and the color rendering index of LED street lamps can reach more than 75, from the perspective of visual psychology, to achieve the same brightness, the illuminance of LED street lamps can be reduced by more than 20% on average than high-pressure sodium lamps (refer to the United Kingdom road lighting standards); Moreover, at the intermediate visual level, it is easier for the human eye to distinguish things in a high color temperature environment than in a low color temperature environment, which avoids the occurrence of some dangerous states.
5. The light attenuation of LED street lamps is small, the light attenuation of one year is less than 3%, and the illumination requirements of road use are still met after 10 years of use, so the design of LED street lamps in terms of power can be lower than that of high-pressure sodium lamps;
6. LED street lamps can be automatically dimmed, which can meet the lighting requirements in different periods, reduce the power to the greatest extent possible, and save electricity;
7. LED is a low-voltage DC device, and the voltage that drives a single LED is a safe voltage, so it is a safer power supply than using a high-voltage power supply, especially suitable for public places. The characteristics of DC make LED especially suitable for combining with solar energy and wind power;
8. The LED grain of each unit has only a small volume, so it can be prepared into various shapes of devices, and is suitable for volatile and shockable environments;
9. Long life: the theoretical life can be used for more than 50,000 hours;
10. The LED can be switched on and off frequently without worrying about its damage;
